Blue Sky Ranch is a stunning outdoor wedding venue a short drive north of Saskatoon. Picture it: a chapel on the ravine, a saloon in a converted cattle shed, and twenty-six beds a short walk away. We love to host weddings - and the same goes holds reunions, retreats, workshops and live music.

The short version

A wedding here is simple to explain.

Say your vows on the edge of the ravine, with the river hills behind you. Throw the party under a tent or in a cattle shed that seats sixty. Put the people you want close to bed a short walk away. Ceremony, reception or both, and you bring the planner, the tent and the caterer. We bring the place.

Old church windows, a new view.

The chapel sits on its own spot above the ravine. The windows came out of a church up north, and there is a pulpit. A graded road runs up to it, wide enough for a horse-drawn hay rack.

Weddings · The party

A cattle shed that grew up.

Hold the party outside under your own tent, or bring it indoors. The saloon was a cattle shed. The stage was a cattle feeder. The pool table is a hundred years old and the fireplace is the kind cowboys built. Fifty to sixty at tables inside, the tent takes the rest, and there’s a beer garden out the back.

Weddings · The weekend

Take the run of the ranch.

For a wedding weekend the ranch books as one place: the Granary, the chapel, all three houses, the bunkhouse, the RV sites, the trails and the river. Your guests arrive Friday, and nobody has to drive anywhere until Sunday.

The same ranch works for a family reunion, a retreat, a workshop or a night of live music, indoors or out. Fifty to sixty inside, more outdoors, with the kitchen and the bunkhouse close by. Six powered RV sites, three at 50 amp and three at 30 amp, booked with a group or event.

Special and custom events are priced individually.

FAQ

Questions couples ask.

How many people fit?
Fifty to sixty seated indoors. Bigger crowds go outdoors with a tent that you bring.
Ceremony only, or reception only?
Either, or both. The chapel has a pulpit; the room stands on its own too.
Can we book the whole property?
Yes. For a wedding weekend the ranch books as one place. Weekend rate on request.
What about tables and chairs?
Ours are a mix and do not match. Couples bring or rent matching sets.
Sound and lights?
A PA speaker, a microphone and stage lighting are in the room. Bands bring their own gear.
Where does everyone sleep?
Grandma’s House sleeps 10, Foreman’s Cabin 5, Riverview Cabin 3, the bunkhouse 8. There is a tent site and six powered RV sites.
Alcohol?
Bring your own, along with a liquor permit and a bartender.
What if it rains?
Hide out in the Granary (and soon, the barn).
